Nurturing Dreams, Building Futures

Introduction

On Saturday, the 2 nd of May, once again by the grace of God and the generous hearts, we joyously made it to Hecca Homes. The PSF representatives were Agyei Darko Kelvin, Collins Adjei, and Jewel Owusu Ansah.

The team left for the market first, then headed to the home at 9:27 am and 12:07 p,m respectively. In the noon around 1:10 pm, we arrived at Hecca homes in Atwima Manhyia, where we were warmly welcomed by the mother of the home, Mrs. Baidoo.

Activities

Agyei Darko narrated the mission of our visit on behalf of the team to Mrs. Baidoo. After the mission statement, which included who PSF is, what we do, and why we deem it fit to extend a hand to homes in Ghana, Mrs. Baidoo also briefed us on the happenings in the home. We were updated on the situations of the children, educational journeys, and how they are striving to make a mark in society. Though it was sad at first meeting an almost empty house, it was all exciting and joy when we learned later that all those absent were one way or the other doing excellently in their pursuits.

These include: a footballer in the South African league, a university student, shs students all doing excellently well. It was breath-warming learning about these. It was hard not to notice the excitement on the faces of both the children and the caretaker following our visit.

The representatives had some time with the kids, admonishing them to take anything they are engaged in seriously. We also gave some advice to some of the kids who liked fighting, as reported by the caretaker, to rather embrace love and togetherness.

The team, at the end of the talks, presented items to the home, and prayers and blessings were showered on our donors and all who made the visit a success.

An amount of Ghs 3740.00 was spent on the project.

Challenges and Recommendations

On the side of the emissaries for the trip to Hecca homes, we encountered no substantial challenges. The home has a lot of challenges, the main one being financial constraints. They need help financially to complete their housing structure to reduce room overcrowding. Also, they need help to repair the faulty water pump and replace damaged pipelines. On the side of the emissaries for the trip to Hecca homes, we did not encounter any substantial.

Conclusion

The project and presentation were a success, and the children we met were extremely happy. Prayers were said and blessings were bestowed on every donor. The Lord’s abundant mercies brought us to our final destination. May God bless PSF.

Amen
